July/August Harris Family Trip Pictures The Part 2...

Hey There!  Hope everyone's doing well.  I thought I'd continue with this post I started last week...

Moving along!

We went to Hershey, PA and stopped at Hershey World for an hour or two.  They had a ride/tour showing you how they make Hershey chocolate, which was very interesting, and their candy store/gift shop was huge.  I spent way too much money on candy lol.

This is one of the chocolate pictures, it's pretty blurry because the mixers were fast and you weren't allowed to use a flash inside the tour.

Hershey bar molds!

The Wrapper:)

Chocolate syrup.

Kisses!
We also did some factory work: Hershey Kiss packaging.

Lydia with World's Largest Hershey Bar.  I think it was like 50 bucks.  We didn't get one, although we got a ton of other stuff!
Jo enjoyed the trip:)  She got a stuffed Reese's thing, she named it "Chocolate."
The next day we went to Gettysburg, which was very fascinating.  This was a panorama painting we saw.

Civil War rifles.

Marching instruments.

General Robert E. Lee's bed in his tent before the battle.
General Lee's Monument.
We climbed up this tower to see a great 360 view of Gettysburg.
Jo-Jo climbed all the way up herself, she also took a long nap that afternoon:)

The highlighted man in the photograph is Abraham Lincoln.

Gettysburg cemetery.
We spent the next 2 days in Washington D.C. That was probably my favorite part of the trip.  The first day we went into the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.  The pictures above is the Spirit of St. Louis.

And Orville and Wilbur Wright's second plane.

Amelia Earhart's flying coat and goggles.
The J. Edgar Hoover F.B.I. building.  I couldn't help not singing the Jessica Andrews, Who I Am song as we walked by.
Okay that's all for today:-)  Maybe I'll post some more later or tomorrow.
Ta-ta for now!

July/August Harris Family Trip Pictures The Part 1

Hey Everyone!

Well after 6000 miles, 90 hours of driving, 22 days, 15 states, 2 birthdays, 2 tire problems, 1 RV and to many games of Temple Run, I'm back!  It's been a long but fun 3 weeks.  And I have pictures!

Our RV :)

Had to bring a little bit of home with us.

Day 2, at the Continental Divide, in Colorado.
Day 2, our campground near Denver.

Happy to be out of the car seat!

Lake Chetsfield.
Day 3, swimming in the lake.  It was freezing so only Lydia and Jo actually swam.

Jer Bear
Jo beginning to realize it was cold.
Trying not to get wet, and failing.

Later on Day 3, Joanna decided to play in some dirt after already having 2 showers that day.
How bout those Broncos?!

Getting all giggly with this little one:)

She cracks me up!

So green in Ohio....it's so pretty!

Cedar Point from outside the park.

I went on all the coasters here except two, some corkscrew one and the Top Thrill Dragster, yeah the one that goes straight up and down.  And down.  In 7 seconds.  At 120 mph.

So, on my 17th birthday, we lost our spare tire, it literally fell off and almost caused an accident.  So we spent 3 hours sitting on the side of the road dealing with that.

Happy Birthday to me:)

Finally moving again.

Smiley Lyd.

We spent my birthday night at my Dad's best-friend since High School and his family, the MacWilliam's in New York.  I love those guys, they're always so much fun.

Playing on top of our RV, it's scary up there!

We had a huge fire, (this is only the beginning.)  We told them we'd be in orange jumpsuits sitting in a cell if we had a fire like this in Phoenix.

Next day, Dad putting the new spare on a luggage carrier.  Beautiful ain't it?!

Mr. MacWilliam's being kind enough to hose all the dead bugs off the windshield.

Jeremy, Gabriel, and me.

This is a house in NY that I really liked.

And another one.
And pretty church.

Jeremy climbing in the side window, while he's supposed to be dumping the toilet.

Jo helping me crochet.  Or not so much.

That's all for now, but I still have a bunch more pics that I'll be putting up hopefully soon!
See ya.
