This the the scorpion I found smashed in our pantry door. The joys of living in the desert!

BTW, I did go on a fantastic trip to TN and got back on Thursday, so I will try and put up some pictures soon!

My Sister's Birthday!

My sister Princess Leia turned 13 in September! Because we were packing and moving we waited to celebrate until after we moved. She knew we were going out to dinner, but she didn't know that we were going somewhere before that. We blind folded her because she would know exactly where we were going if she wasn't. I had lots of fun making faces at her, and stealing her sunglasses (why she was wearing them I don't know,) and teasing her.

Han Solo's a bit excited about the surprise although he didn't know where we were going.

Lando was excited too:)

We went to Harkin's Theater and saw The Three Musketeers!
It was AWESOME, we all loved it! Great movie.
After that we went to Tagliani's for dinner. Yum Yum!

Later!

My Life the Past Month or So Part 3 - The Quick Version

Yeah, um, I moved a month and a half ago, and I still haven't finished, so this will be the short, fast version...

Okay so, night we moved, Del Taco, drinks, a ton of food and all that. Yeah. After dropping one of the drinks in the "B" family's new van, we got to our Anthem house at about 8pm. There was a huge moving truck in the front yard, it was awesome. we ate dinner on the floor, and then we started the LONG process of loading up the truck. I loaded up the rest of the kitchen, all the food, and the rest of the miscellaneous stuff in the cabinets. I only dropped an oily glass bottle of sun dried tomatoes on the floor during that process.

At about 11:30 we finished loading the cars, and truck up. Only one small eeney winney problem. The truck was full and the garage was still full of stuff. The B's immediately volunteered to come the next day to finish loading everything. We arrived at our new place exactly at midnight. we then started the slower process of unloading and putting things where they went. Oh. Dang. I unloaded the kitchen, and put things where they went, but about 1am, I was about to fall over, and go to sleep on the tile floor. So I grabbed a glass jar that was sitting on the counter rinsed it out, and filled it with tap water and stuck in in the microwave. I pulled the box of tea out of a box and threw a black tea bag in the water and let it sit for a couple minutes. Ooo, caffeine. I was a little desperate.

2:30am. We were finally done, I felt completely exhausted, and I was doing things like unloading boxes, and putting things away, when all the guys were lifting 100 ton things (OK I might be exaggerating a just a little bit) up the stairs and all around the house.

We sat and chatted for a few, and then the B's went home, and I took a shower, and went to bed. At 3am.

We were all up bright and early at 7:30, because the B's were coming back at 8 to help us finish moving. :-)

Mrs. B, D1, and D2 all came in through our back door, and the guys looked half asleep. We all were. At about noon, two of my siblings had orthodontist appointments, so Mrs. B volunteered to take them. I begged to go along because sitting in a waiting room for an hour sounded really good. On the way back we stopped at Sonic and got a ton of food. We got back to the house, and were very excited to hear they had finished. Thank You Jesus! I handed out food to eight hungry and exhausted people. We sat down in the living room, that still had boxes everywhere. No one really said anything, we just ate.

After lunch for some reason all of us kids decided to go swimming. We did, I don't know where we got enough energy to go play in the pool, but we did. It was grand fun, after working working working.

So, that is the 'short' ;-) version. Heehee! Thank you SO MUCH to the B family and the B family for all the help! It was such a blessing!

Talk to y'all later!
